When I got started, I wasn't sure what I was doing. Due to this I was very scattered. I would use one app to take notes on something but then I would continue those notes in a random notebook. This approach led me to lose a lot of my work. Eventually as I progressed, I got better and found different platforms that help me streamline my process. I want mention that none of this is sponsored and its completely based on my experiences.
Simple NoteThis is a note taking platform where you can freely write everything and it will save everything. It has a very simplistic look and feels. It is completely free and can be downloaded on to your phone and computer. The best thing about it is, you can sign in across different devices, and it will sync very quickly. One of the best parts of the app is the exportation feature because how quickly it does it. I can easily export certain notes within minutes.
Chat GPTI love using AI. In fact, Chat GPT is my best friend. I use Chat GPT pretty often. While some people use Chat GPT to rewrite content for them, I prefer to use is it to give me feedback. This keeps me from being reliant on Chat GPT. For example, after writing a newsletter I will put it into ChatGPT and ask it to give me very specific feedback that helps me improve my writing. Additionally, I like to use AI to help me generate ideas. Alot of times I will ask it to give me 30-40 ideas and from there, I will choose one to proceed with. This saves me a lot of the brainstorming time. I haven't gotten the premium subscription and yet I am still able to use it so much.
The Microsoft Clock AppOne of the biggest apps I use is the Microsoft Clock app. It comes pre-installed on most windows. The thing I love the most is the focus session feature. I am not sure if other apps have it. What the app does is it connects with other apps like Spotify and Todo and creates a central dashboard where you can set a period of time that you want to work and it will automatically break it into parts and schedule breaks. Additionally, you can choose you music from the app if you have signed into Spotify and you can connect your Todo app to cross off items as you work.
WIXWIX is my go-to platform for anything website related. I used it to create my website for both Handmade Scholars and K's Displays. I also use it to send out this email newsletter. Even before I got the premium plan, I was able to do some much with WIX. Even though somethings didn't work I was able to find work arounds them. Now that I do have the premium plan, my capabilities have increased so much. I am able to not only accept payments but also create a whole community. I would highly suggest using WIX to create your website.
CanvaI use Canva for everything. Every Instagram post or piece of content that I post is made by me on Canva. Canva is very versatile. I usually draw designs out before I make them on Canva. With Canva I am truly able to bring my ideas to life. For Canva I do not have the premium plan either and yet I am still able to get so much done. Although a lot of things are unavailable, I am usually able to find free versions on google or other work arounds.
In conclusion these are my top 5 platforms that I use on a daily basis. All of these platforms are either free or come with a free plan. I started out with the free plan for everything and was able to get very far with them. I still have the free plan for almost all platforms I use from Spotify to Canva. I suggest you try these out and let me know how you like them. Coming up I have a couple of big changes that will be coming out so stay tuned. |
